“Simplicity. Less is more. Don’t try so hard.”   That’s the styling mantra of @karolynpho — a philosophy she brings to both her personal wardrobe and her editorials for publications like the New York Times and Vogue. Every look is thoughtfully considered, yet feels completely effortless. Oversized pants. Ribbed tees. Classics in neutrals, never over-styled. “When you put on too many things, it feels like you’re not confident in the look,” she says.   Karolyn has been styling for almost twenty years, working with everyone from brands to celebrities. As for her personal go-tos: “I feel most like myself in a white crewneck tee and a pair of black trousers. I also love a pair of Gap ‘90s Loose jeans. I wear the men’s version, but the women’s is great too — with a pair of flip flops.”   We followed Karolyn around New York for the day, as part of our series celebrating artists within the Gap community. Exploring creatives in their element — with a strong point of view, and a strong sense of style.   Video by @katarina.zhu   #IamGap
